Cahill began his professional career with Millwall FC, where he helped lead the team to the 2004
FA Cup Final. He then joined Everton FC, making 226 appearances and scoring 56 goals. Cahill
became a fan favorite and earned accolades including Everton’s Player of the Season and a
Ballon d’Or nomination in 2006. His career continued with stints at New York Red Bulls, Shanghai
Shenhua, Melbourne City FC, and Jamshedpur FC before retiring in 2019.
