Eiður’s playing career spanned 22 years which saw him represent clubs including Chelsea, Barcelona, PSV Eindhoven, Monaco, AEK Athens and Club Brugge, amassing 500 club appearances.
His honours include two Premier League titles, one Football League Cup, two Community Shields, one La Liga title, one Copa Del Rey, two Supercopa de Espanas, a UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.
He represented his homeland of Iceland on 88 occasions, scoring 26 international goals. He was awarded Icelandic Footballer of the Year seven times and most recently coached on the staff of the Iceland Men’s National Team aswell as the Iceland Men’s U21s.
