Anthony Taylor's Biography

Having progressed from grassroots into the Northern premier League, Anthony made is Football League debut in 2006 with his first Premier League match being Fulham v Portsmouth in February 2010.

 

Having taken charge of the FA Vase (2010) and FA Trophy (2012) finals, 2015 saw Anthony take charge of both the League Cup final (Tottenham v Chelsea) and the Community Shield (Arsenal v Chelsea).

 

Anthony has also taken charge of Arsenal v Chelsea twice in the 2017 and 2020 FA Cup Finals.

 

Having refereed over 600 professional matches, Anthony is one of the most experienced on the Premier League list having taken charge of over 330 Premier League matches.

 

Since being promoted to the FIFA list, Anthony has refereed over 100 international matches with notable high-profile matches including the UEFA Super Cup final (2020), UEFA Nation League Final (2021) and the FIFA Club World Cup Final (2022). He has also officiated at EURO 2020 and the FIFA World Cup 2022.

 

Whilst officiating the Finland v Denmark match at EURO 2020, Anthony reacted to the unfortunate situation where Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch. Prior to becoming an elite referee,
